Biography

Ágnes-Klára Sándor is a Hungarian concert flutist, recording artist and teacher. She is currently the Co-Principal Flute of the State Philharmonic Orchestra Târgy Mures (Romania). Born in Transylvania, she started playing the flute in her father's class, continued her studies in Hungary, then earned a BA and an MA degree in Germany.

She graduated from her soloist studies (Konzertexamen) "summa cum laude" at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. Klára is the award winner of various international flute competitions such as the "Friedrich Kuhlau" competition in Uelzen, Germany (1st prize) and the "Jeunesses Musicales" competition in Bucharest (2nd prize). Klára also performed as solo flutist with the Romania National Youth Orchestra.

Klára has been an active participant of masterclasses held by famous flutists, namely Emmanuel Pahud, Patrick Gallois, Robert Dick, Felix Renggli and Andrea Lieberknecht. Currently she is playing concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in Germany and in Romania and she has a flute class in Düsseldorf.
